FUN FACTS!

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love spending my free time with my family.  We work together and really enjoy one another; it is a wonderful thing.  I also enjoy learning, and working to keep myself growing in positive directions.  

How many years have you lived in Middletown?

I was born and raised in Middletown.  Though I have traveled and lived other places, it has always been my home.  I have lived a total of about 30 years in Middletown.  

What/who is your musical inspiration?

I am drawn to music with good, positive, or uplifting messages, and lyrics matter to me.  This is a big reason why I chose this song.  The artist speaks to that part in all of us where strength and courage reside.  True strength is often quiet and goes unnoticed, but it is not rigid; it is important to have flexibility so that we can bend but we do not break.  When we are scared, nervous, think we cannot do it, or others think we cannot do it, we must dig deeply and bring forth our courage because we do not know what is possible within us until we really try.  We can choose to stand up and be counted.  My hope is for everyone to see themselves in this song.  

Why do you support CBI Middletown?

The Community Building Institute is just that; it builds our community.  Because of CBI, children in Middletown have a chance to nurture that sense of belonging.  This is a precious work and calling.  I am grateful everyday for what CBI provides for our community.
