What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I value opportunities to step away from the pace of work and focus on what matters most. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, whether that’s at home or traveling together and experiencing new places. I’ve always found that travel brings a fresh perspective and a chance to recharge. I also enjoy fishing whenever I can. It’s something I’ve appreciated for years - not just for the sport itself, but for the quiet, patience, and time outdoors that come with it. Overall, I try to make the most of my free time by staying connected to family and enjoying simple, meaningful activities.

How many years have you lived in Middletown (or how are you affiliated)?
I have lived in Butler County my entire life, which has given me a deep understanding of the area and its growth over the years. Professionally, I’ve been working in Middletown for the past 27 years, so it’s a community I’ve been closely tied to both personally and professionally. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to see the strengths of the community firsthand and build lasting relationships. That long-term connection has given me a strong appreciation for the people, businesses, and organizations that make Middletown what it is today.

What or who is your musical inspiration?
I’ve always been drawn to classic country music. There’s something about the storytelling, authenticity, and simplicity of that genre that stands out. The songs tend to reflect real-life experiences—hard work, family, perseverance—which are values I connect with. While I enjoy a variety of music, I find myself consistently coming back to older country because of the meaning behind the lyrics and the timeless nature of the music.

Why do you support CBI Middletown?
I support CBI Middletown because I strongly believe that investing in young people is one of the most important things a community can do. Children truly are our future, and organizations like CBI provide opportunities, guidance, and support that can have a lasting impact on their lives. It’s important to me to be involved in efforts that help create a positive environment where kids can learn, grow, and reach their potential. Supporting CBI is a way to give back to the community and help ensure that the next generation has the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.

Middletown Rocks 2026! Are you ready to rock?

Middletown Rocks is the event of the year! Join the Community Building Institute Thursday, May 14th at the historic Sorg Opera House for a night full of singing, dancing, and community. This annual benefit concert raises funds to support CBI's summer, afterschool, and workforce development programs. Our peer-to-peer fundraisers are competeing to bring in the most dollars leading up to the concert. On May 14th, they'll hit the Sorg stage and we hope you'll be there to cheer them on! Patrons can look forward to seeing our performers backed by a live band (Live Your Dream), a showcase by our RISE students, and a special presentation to a local hero. A General Admission ticket grants you entry the Sorg, but select the VIP add-on to enjoy food, drinks, and festivities at The Windamere before the big show.
